The General Urban Plan of the Municipality of Stagira-Akanthos was approved in 2010, Government Gazette approval AAP/10-8-2010. The land uses in the territory of the Municipality are organized: (A) in residential development facilities – extension areas, (B) in areas of productive activity, (C) in Control and Restriction Areas of the Building, where belong the area of recreational tourism (1) and (2) and the area of tourism – recreational activities (1), (2) and (3), (D) in Special Protection Areas, where belong the area of special protection of forests and forest areas, the special aquifer protection area and high productivity, the area of special ecosystem protection, the area of protection of archaeological sites, (E) in zones with the same legal status, (F) in zones of mining and mining interest, and (G) in incentive zones and urban planning mechanisms.
