On 05-16-2022, the contract for  the technical studies for the new office Building of the Region of Crete was signed between the Regional District and the partnership “GAIA AE MELETON-GEOTER-DIDASKALOU E.E.”

The object of the study is the construction of new buildings for the use of offices of the Region of Crete in the “Skalani” settlement, which is located south of Heraklion on a plot of land with an area of ​​3,6550 sq.m. In the current phase, the construction of a 2,800 sq.m. building will be studied (with an additional 500 sq.m. underground auxiliary spaces) and the configuration of the surrounding area at least 1,000 sq.m. The accessibility of the plot will also be studied. At the same time, there will be provision for the future expansion of the two buildings with similar characteristics.

For the implementation of the project, studies must be prepared to ensure access, which include an architectural investigation of the location of the new buildings on the property, topographical studies, road construction studies,  a new roundabout study for the insertion in the plot, static studies, geotechnical studies,  etc.

The required studies must also include all the studies of building facilities, i.e. the architectural study of the building, the geotechnical study of the building foundation, the static (and dynamic) study of the building, the electromechanical studies of the building, the study of energy efficiency, the studies of passive and of active fire protection, the hydraulic studies of the environment, the tender documents for the cosntruction Bid.
