A contemporary learning landscape rooted in place
The new school complex is conceived as a contemporary educational infrastructure that redefines the relationship between learning, space, and community. The architectural approach aims to create an open, flexible, and human-scaled environment where functionality meets spatial quality and sustainability.
The design treats the school as a small community where educational, social, and outdoor activities are seamlessly interconnected, fostering interaction and spatial experience.
The composition is organized around a central courtyard that acts as a unifying core and primary social space. The L-shaped geometry creates a protected inner landscape, forming a safe micro-environment with a clear spatial identity.
Different functions are distributed in distinct volumes, allowing clear legibility and flexibility. Classrooms are oriented to the south to maximize daylight and thermal comfort, while social and multipurpose spaces act as community hubs.
The architectural language is defined by clean geometries, simple lines, and clear volumes that create a cohesive identity. The repetition of openings and shading elements establishes rhythm on the façades, while balanced proportions reinforce visual harmony.
Variations in height and volume articulate the program, highlighting the multipurpose hall as a key architectural element.
The landscape is treated as an integral part of the learning environment. The courtyard is organized into zones for play, sports, relaxation, and social interaction, forming a dynamic outdoor setting that enriches daily school life.
Topography and planting contribute to a comfortable microclimate and a safe environment for students.
The project integrates bioclimatic principles to optimize daylight, natural ventilation, and thermal comfort. Orientation, shading strategies, and material selection contribute to reduced energy demand and a high-performance building envelope.
Beyond its educational role, the complex is designed to function as a community hub, capable of hosting events and activities outside school hours.
The project aspires to create a learning environment that promotes collaboration, creativity, and a strong sense of belonging.
