New ERT Building

The new ERT3 building in Thessaloniki is conceived as a contemporary architectural landmark that embodies a transition toward a new paradigm of working and production environments, where technology, light, and space converge into a unified experience. The project is approached as a dynamic system — an architectural structure that operates simultaneously as envelope, filter, and urban catalyst.

The architectural concept is rooted in a clear geometric gesture that organizes the volume through layered envelopes, creating a multi-level system of transparency and shading. The double-skin façade operates as both an environmental and morphological device, allowing the building to respond to changing light conditions while establishing a dynamic presence within the urban landscape.

The composition explores the tension between solid and transparent, weight and lightness, introversion and extroversion. The façades act as an architectural filter that selectively reveals the building’s internal life, strengthening the relationship between user and city.

Internally, spatial organization is defined by fluidity and visual continuity, with spaces shaped around natural light and outward views. The spatial experience unfolds through gradients of privacy and scale, creating an environment that fosters creativity, collaboration, and flexibility.

Material selection and refined detailing reinforce the project’s timeless character, while the clarity of lines and precision of proportions express an architectural approach defined by quality and rigor.

Bioclimatic principles are seamlessly integrated into the architectural expression through passive shading strategies, extensive use of natural daylight, and energy-efficient systems embedded within the building’s form.

Beyond its functional role, the project acts as a new urban node that strengthens the relationship between architecture and public realm, expressing a contemporary vision of the workplace — open, sustainable, and deeply connected to the city and light.
